CREATIVE ARTS DAY Program DetailS

​

  • Creative Arts Day Programs will run for 90 minutes in 4-week Terms.

  • Programs will run during the following:

      Session A: 9:00 - 10:30 am

       Session B: 11:00 am - 12:30 pm

       Session C: 1:30 - 3:00 pm

       Session D: 3:30 - 5:00 pm

  • There will be a maximum of 10 Creatives per class.

  • All classes will be facilitated by Gita Schuster-Ashley, who has over 35 year of arts facilitator experience and assisted by the highly creative, Chelsea Vachon.

  • Creatives are welcome to stay at the facility during the lunch break (11:30 am - 12:30 pm) if they are participating in multiple programs on one day.

  • The facility is wheel chair accessible including an accessible washroom; is fully air-conditioned and has a water cooler

  • Growing In The Arts is a peanut-free facility.

  • Growing In The Arts does not provide individual support workers. 

  • Gossip, pettiness, bullying, alienation, racist, homophobic, transphobic, and ableist comments/behaviours will not be tolerated and will result in immediate dismissal from all day programs at The BIG Feelings Project at Growing In The Arts.

Payment 

Discounts for multiple program registration are as follows:    

  • Registration for One program:  $135.00 inclusive total.

  • Registration for Two programs:  $130.00 x 2 = $260.00 inclusive total. (save $10)

  • Registration for Three programs: $125.00 x 3 = $375.00 inclusive (save $30)

  • Registration for Four programs is $125.00 x 4 = $500.00 inclusive (save $40)

  • Registration for Five programs is $125.00 x 5 = $625.00 inclusive (save $50)

  • Registration for Six programs is $125.00 x 6 = $750.00 inclusive (save $60)

  • Registration for Seven programs is $125.00 x 7 = $875.00 inclusive (save $70)

  • Registration for Eight programs is $125.00 x 8 = $875.00 inclusive (save $80)

  • We do not take credit card payments at this time.

  • Credit for missed classes will not be given. 

  • Payment is refundable up to 2 weeks prior to program start date minus a $50 Admin Fee upon written request only.

  • Payment is nonrefundable after 2 weeks prior to program start date. 

  • If Growing In The Arts cancels a program due to low enrolment (less than 7 participants), payment will be fully refunded.

Before we step into the magic of story and theatre, we pause to honour the land beneath our feet. We are gathering on the ancestral home and traditional territory of the Haudenosaunee, Anishinaabe, and Neutral peoples. We carry so much gratitude for the chance to learn, create, and grow together on these lands and waterways.

As a community of young creators and families, we know that stories have power, and so does the truth.

With soft and caring hearts, we remember and mourn the Indigenous children who were taken from their homes to residential schools, those who did not return, and those still missing. We honour the children who were denied the right to play, speak their language, and be loved by their communities. We hold their memory close, today and always.

May our art, our kindness, and our actions honour their legacy as we learn to live together in truth, reconciliation, and peace.
