Hannah Findlay; Assistant Director. 

       Hannah is going into her third year in the Bachelor's of Arts Film Studies Program at Wilfred Laurier University. She is a graduate of Cameron Heights Institute and has actively been participating in drama and/or dance activities for over 15 years. Hannah joined Growing In The Arts in 2013 and has enjoyed participating in classes as well as the Kiwanis Festival for the Performing Arts in Stratford.

     Hannah's had her directorial debut with Peter Pan Abridged as part of the 2023 Senior Company production, Mischief Theatre. She played Matilda Wormwood in the Growing In The Arts November 2019 production of, There's Something About Matilda. 

     Hannah enjoys painting, hiking and watching movies. Hannah spent one year as an acting class Teaching Assistant and is really excited to return as Assistant Director this coming season.

Sabrina Hallman; Teaching Assistant.

     Sabrina is 15 years old and has been attending Growing In The Arts since 2017. Sabrina loves interacting with her peers on and off-stage. Her latest role was as Florence Colleymoore in the 2023 production of The Murder at Haversham Manor. She enjoys playing baseball, thrifting and listening to music. Sabrina is very excited to start assistant directing this coming season!

Before we step into the magic of story and theatre, we pause to honour the land beneath our feet. We are gathering on the ancestral home and traditional territory of the Haudenosaunee, Anishinaabe, and Neutral peoples. We carry so much gratitude for the chance to learn, create, and grow together on these lands and waterways.

As a community of young creators and families, we know that stories have power, and so does the truth.

With soft and caring hearts, we remember and mourn the Indigenous children who were taken from their homes to residential schools, those who did not return, and those still missing. We honour the children who were denied the right to play, speak their language, and be loved by their communities. We hold their memory close, today and always.

May our art, our kindness, and our actions honour their legacy as we learn to live together in truth, reconciliation, and peace.
